Chicken Croquette
This dish is crunchy-on-the-outside and meaty-on-the-inside.
No. of Servings: 6
1/4 cup All Purpose Flour
1/4 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Pepper
1 cup Milk
FOR CROQUETTE
2 cup Minced Chicken (cooked)
1 Egg
3/4 cup Dry Bread Crumbs
2 tbsp Butter
1 Onion (chopped)
Oil for Frying

Ingredients:
WHITE SAUCE1/4 cup All Purpose Flour
1/4 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Pepper
1 cup Milk
FOR CROQUETTE
2 cup Minced Chicken (cooked)
1 Egg
3/4 cup Dry Bread Crumbs
2 tbsp Butter
1 Onion (chopped)
Oil for Frying
Directions:
- FOR WHITE SAUCE
- Melt 1 tbsp butter in the pan.
- Blend in flour, milk, salt and pepper.
- Take care that lumps are not formed.
- FOR CROQUETTE
- Melt butter in the pan and saute onion.
- Add minced chicken, salt and pepper to taste.
- Add green chillies if desired to make it spicy.
- Stir chicken mixture in the white sauce and mix and cook well.
- Chill the mixture for 2-3 hours.
- Divide the mixture in 10-12 equal balls.
- Dip in egg white and then roll in bread crumbs until well coated.
- Heat oil and fry croquette untol light brown.
- Serve hot with dips or chilli sauces.
