Apple Cinnamon Cake
A moist and delicious apple cake made with fresh apples.

Ingredients:
4 cups Apples (peeled and diced)
2 cups Light Brown Sugar
A pinch of Cinnamon
4 tbsp Butter (melted)
CAKE
2 cups Flour
2 tsp Baking Soda
1½ tsp Cinnamon
¼ tsp Salt
2 Eggs (well beaten)
½ cup Butter
¾ cup Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
2 tbsp Milk
1-cup Walnuts and Almonds (chopped)
Directions:
  1. Heat oven to 350°.
  2. Mix apples with sugar, pinch of cinnamon and melted butter thoroughly.
  3. Butter the baking tray and arrange the apple mixture in it.
  4. Combine the flour, salt, baking powder and cinnamon in a bowl.
  5. In a bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  6. Add eggs and vanilla extract.
  7. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, beating just until blended.
  8. Pour the batter evenly over the apple slices.
  9. Bake for an hour until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
  10. Invert the cake onto the cake plate.
  11. Serve this cake with warm with apple purée and cream or custard.
