Apple Upside Down Cake
Ingredients:
1/3 cup Butter½ cup Brown Sugar
2 Apples (pared, peeled and sliced)
2 tsp Cinnamon Powder
1½ cup Flour
1 cup Sugar
2 tsp Baking Powder
½ tsp salt
1/3 cup Butter
2/3 cup Milk
1 tsp Vanilla Essence
1 Egg

Directions:
- Heat oven to 350°F.
- Melt butter in a cake tin.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar over the butter.
- Arrange the apple slices over it in a layer.
- Sprinkle cinnamon powder.
- Put the remaining apple over it and sprinkle brown sugar again.
- In the mixing bowl add flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
- Add butter, milk and vanilla essence.
- Beat the egg and add it to the flour. Beat well.
- Pour over apple in the pan.
- Bake in the oven for 50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
- Immediately turn the pan over into a serving dish.
- Sprinkle icing sugar.
- Serve warm with ice cream.
