Apple Upside Down Cake
Ingredients:
1/3 cup Butter
½ cup Brown Sugar
2 Apples (pared, peeled and sliced)
2 tsp Cinnamon Powder
1½ cup Flour
1 cup Sugar
2 tsp Baking Powder
½ tsp salt
1/3 cup Butter
2/3 cup Milk
1 tsp Vanilla Essence
1 Egg
Lcing Sugar
Directions:
  1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. Melt butter in a cake tin.
  3. Sprinkle the brown sugar over the butter.
  4. Arrange the apple slices over it in a layer.
  5. Sprinkle cinnamon powder.
  6. Put the remaining apple over it and sprinkle brown sugar again.
  7. In the mixing bowl add flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
  8. Add butter, milk and vanilla essence.
  9. Beat the egg and add it to the flour. Beat well.
  10. Pour over apple in the pan.
  11. Bake in the oven for 50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
  12. Immediately turn the pan over into a serving dish.
  13. Sprinkle icing sugar.
  14. Serve warm with ice cream.
