Dried Plum Chutney
It is a delicacy and served on formal occasions.
30gms Dried Dates
30gms Almonds
30gms Pistachio
1tsp Dried Ginger Powder
1 tsp Roasted Cumin Powder
1 tsp Black Pepper
4 tsp Salt
Ingredients:
250gms Dried Plums30gms Dried Dates
30gms Almonds
30gms Pistachio
1tsp Dried Ginger Powder
1 tsp Roasted Cumin Powder
1 tsp Black Pepper
4 tsp Salt
Directions:
- Soak the dried plums and dates overnight in water.
- Boil them in the same water for 15 minutes.
- Remove the seeds from the plums and mash and pass the pulp through the fine sieve.
- Add molasses and cook till the consistency is creamy.
- Blanch the almonds and pistachio and peel their skins. Chop them finely.
- Remove the seeds from the dates and chop them finely.
- Mix the nuts, cumin powder, black pepper, ginger powder and chopped dates into the plum puree.
- Bring to boil.
- Cool and pour into sterilized bottles.
