Chicken Korma
Ingredients:
800gms Chicken (cut into pieces)1 Bay Leaf
4 Tomatoes
For Marination
1 ˝ tsp Black Pepper Powder
2 cups Yogurt
1 tbsp Garlic Paste
1 tbsp Ginger Paste
2 Onions (chopped)
1 tsp Chili Powder
2 tsp Ground Coriander
1 tsp Cumin
1 tsp Turmeric
A few strands of Saffron
2 tbsp Fresh Coriander (chopped)
2 tsp Vegetable Oil
Directions:
- Make slits in the chicken pieces.
- Make the marinade mixture in yogurt, garlic, onion, ginger, chili powder, salt and black pepper.
- Place chicken in the bowl and marinate for 6-8 hours.
- Heat oil in the large pan. Sauté onion and garlic for I minute and remove them.
- Then add tomato slices to the oil. Fry for 2 minutes and remove from oil.
- Now add bay leaf, coriander, chili, cumin, cardamom seeds and turmeric. Fry them.
- Add the marinated chicken and fry for sometime.
- Add 1-cup water and let it cook till the chicken is tender.
- Serve hot garnished with green coriander leaves.
- Serve with rice or roti.
