Chicken Korma
Ingredients:
800gms Chicken (cut into pieces)
1 Bay Leaf
4 Tomatoes
For Marination
1 ˝ tsp Black Pepper Powder
2 cups Yogurt
1 tbsp Garlic Paste
1 tbsp Ginger Paste
2 Onions (chopped)
1 tsp Chili Powder
2 tsp Ground Coriander
1 tsp Cumin
1 tsp Turmeric
A few strands of Saffron
2 tbsp Fresh Coriander (chopped)
2 tsp Vegetable Oil
Directions:
  1. Make slits in the chicken pieces.
  2. Make the marinade mixture in yogurt, garlic, onion, ginger, chili powder, salt and black pepper.
  3. Place chicken in the bowl and marinate for 6-8 hours.
  4. Heat oil in the large pan. Sauté onion and garlic for I minute and remove them.
  5. Then add tomato slices to the oil. Fry for 2 minutes and remove from oil.
  6. Now add bay leaf, coriander, chili, cumin, cardamom seeds and turmeric. Fry them.
  7. Add the marinated chicken and fry for sometime.
  8. Add 1-cup water and let it cook till the chicken is tender.
  9. Serve hot garnished with green coriander leaves.
  10. Serve with rice or roti.
