Fish Curry
This curry is truly delicious. It is tangy and spicy.

4 tbsp Cooking Oil
1 Onion (minced)
1 tbsp Ginger Paste
1 tbsp garlic Paste
2 Tomatoes (chopped)
1-cup Coriander Leaves (chopped)
1 tbsp Mustard Seeds
2 tbsp Cumin Seeds
8 dry Red Chilies
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Garam Masala
½ cup of Tamarind in hot water (Tamarind Pulp)
Salt To Taste

Ingredients:
250gms Fish (Rohu) (washed, sliced)4 tbsp Cooking Oil
1 Onion (minced)
1 tbsp Ginger Paste
1 tbsp garlic Paste
2 Tomatoes (chopped)
1-cup Coriander Leaves (chopped)
1 tbsp Mustard Seeds
2 tbsp Cumin Seeds
8 dry Red Chilies
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Garam Masala
½ cup of Tamarind in hot water (Tamarind Pulp)
Salt To Taste
Directions:
- Marinate the fish in salt and turmeric powder. Keep it for 15 minutes.
- Heat the ghee in a frying pan and fry the fish pieces gently. Drain the fish on absorbent kitchen paper and set aside.
- Roast dry red chilies, mustard and cumin seeds. Cool and grind to a fine powder.
- Heat the oil. Add onion and fry till light brown.
- Add ginger and garlic paste and fry.
- Add tomatoes, turmeric, coriander powder, salt and the roasted powder. Fry till the oil begins to separate.
- Add 2 cups of hot water and the tamarind pulp and stir well.
- Bring the gravy to a boil and then simmer.
- Add the fried fish to this gravy and cook till done.
- Garnish with chopped coriander.
- Serve hot with boiled rice.
