How to cook perfect Pasta
Directions:
- Use large pot to boil pasta.
- Follow the instruction on the package.
- Take tap water and bring the water to boil.
- Add about 1 teaspoon of salt per quart (4 cups) of water.
- Never add oil to your water as it makes the pasta slippery, preventing the sauce from adhering properly.
- When the water is boiling rapidly, add the pasta and stir to prevent sticking.
- It should be cooked, yet firm as it will continue to cook a little after being removed from the heat.
- Don’t rinse the pasta, unless to be used in a salad, as the starch also helps the sauce adhere.
- Keep one cup of pasta water aside. It could be added to the moisten the paste if it seems to be little dry once the sauce has been added.
- After draining, cook the pasta over medium heat with about one half of the sauce. This helps the sauce bond with the pasta.
