Reduce Fat and Cholesterol
Directions:
  1. Roast, poach, steam, boil, bake, grill, broil or microwave vegetables rather than frying.
  2. Use vegetable cooking sprays instead of greasing pans.
  3. Try using flavored vinegars or lemon juice on salads rather than salad dressings.
  4. In a dip or any filling try to use yogurt instead of mayonnaise.
  5. Try substituting egg whites in recipes rather than having whole egg. Egg and liver (organ meat) is the highest source of cholesterol.
  6. Consume more of fish rather than meat as the fats in fish are low in saturated fatty acids and contain a certain polyunsaturated fatty acid that decrease the risk for heart disease.
