Mutter Paneer (Peas and Cottage Cheese)
This is a North Indian curry made with mutter (peas) and paneer (cottage cheese). This is a delicious curry and can be served with roti or pitta bread.

1 cup Peas
2 medium Onions (minced)
1 cup Tomatoes Puree
1 tsp Ginger-garlic Paste
¼ cup Yogurt
¼ tsp. Red chili powder
1½ tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Cumin Seeds
Salt to taste
2 tsp Garam Masala (mixture of cinnamon, roasted cumin, cloves, nutmeg or mace and green cardamom seed or black cardamom pods).
Chopped Coriander Leaves for garnishing

Ingredients:
250gms Cottage Cheese (cubed)1 cup Peas

1 cup Tomatoes Puree
1 tsp Ginger-garlic Paste
¼ cup Yogurt
¼ tsp. Red chili powder
1½ tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Cumin Seeds
Salt to taste
2 tsp Garam Masala (mixture of cinnamon, roasted cumin, cloves, nutmeg or mace and green cardamom seed or black cardamom pods).
Chopped Coriander Leaves for garnishing
Directions:
- Heat the oil in the pan and fry cottage cheese until golden brown. Place them onto a plate lined with kitchen paper so that the excess oil is absorbed away.
- In a pan heat oil and add the pinch of cumin seed and wait until it splutters.
- Add onion and ginger-garlic paste. Allow it to brown.
- Add tomato puree. Add yogurt and cook again till the oil separates.
- Add turmeric powder, chili powder, and salt and garam masala and stir well.
- Add green peas and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add about 4 small glasses of water to the pan and bring to simmer.
- Add the previously fried cubes of cottage cheese and let it simmer for a few minutes till oil separates.
- Stir in freshly chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve hot.
